The Investment Compartment’s investment objective is to achieve competitive returns over the medium- to long-term, by investing assets in a balanced manner in a diversified portfolio consisting primarily from corporate and government bonds and equities and secondarily from T-Bills and deposits both in European and other international markets. Returns come primarily from income in the form of dividends and coupons and secondarily from added value and capital gains. Investment Compartment may acquire a medium degree of exposure to a foreign currency in order to improve the expected return.
Based on the average valuation of assets per calendar quarter, the percentage of Investment Compartment assets invested in bonds, equities, deposits and T-Bills must be within the following ranges:
Bonds : from 20% to 100%
Equities : from 0% to 50%
Deposits and T-Bills : from 0% to 80%
